The Fourth of July is by far a favorite holiday of many people. It’s a time to celebrate the exciting start of the United States and watch the fireworks down by the river. The Fourth can be a fantastic time, but can be even better if you know all of the Do’s and Don’ts.
- Do get to the fireworks early
- Don’t wear your winter coat and lots of layers. It tends to be in the high 80’s in July
- Do “stay inside and watch the fireworks in the comfort of one’s air-conditioned home. Better yet, truly get into the spirit of the holiday by inviting family and friends over for a re-enactment of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, complete with quill pens and powdered wigs.”- Anonymous WCHS student
- Don’t park where it says don’t park. You WILL get a ticket
- Do spend time with friends
- Don’t let your friends walk away alone
- Do “get there early for good parking and bring lots of drinks because it is always hot. Going out on a boat is always the most fun and best view of the fireworks.”- Anonymous WCHS student
- Do have a fantastic night celebrating ‘merica
