Teachers Leaving

Mr. Richard Traylor

Years of teaching at Wahlert- 23

Favorite Memories- I have too many. Some have been taking the kids to Toronto, Canada, and performing in New York.

How do you want to be remembered- I wanted to instill a lifelong love of music.

What will be missed- I will definitely miss the students.

Ms. Molly Plumley

Years of teaching at Wahlert- 2

Favorite Memory- My first one is the opening night of Legally Blonde. It was one of the best experiences that I ever had because it was my first major musical that I have ever directed and the students did an amazing job. It was a great experience and I got to see all the work they put in. My second memory would be closing night of Addams Family. Everyone worked so hard and they put on an absolutely spectacular show.  I couldn’t have asked for a better cast or a better crew.

How do you want to be remembered- I hope people remember the type of space I try to create in my classroom and in rehearsals- free and welcoming, where people can be themselves.

What will be missed- I am going to miss the students the most. The students here are amazing. They are wonderful and inspiring. They inspire me every day because they have such unique views of the world and how they approach things.

Mr. Bob Oberfoell

Years of teaching at Wahlert- 14

Favorite Memory- My favorite memory is when I took the invention team to MIT.

How do you want to be remembered- I want to be remembered for always doing the best I could as a teacher and coach.

What will be missed- I will miss the students.

Mr. Travis Zajac

Years of teaching at Wahlert- 6

Favorite Memory- There are a lot of them. It probably has to be my relationships with students and players. All my memories with the teaching staff and my coaching colleagues.

How do you want to be remembered- I want to be remembered for leaving Wahlert Catholic High School better than when I found it; and that I had high expectations and I expected the best out of my students.

What will be missed- I will miss everything about the people in the Wahlert community.

Ms. Amanda Collins

Years of teaching at Wahlert- 3

Favorite Memory-  There are lots, but I think my favorite memory here is when Riley and Craig Collins (‘18) would call me mom because they had the same last name as me. Everywhere I went they would say, “Hi, mom!” and I even had a freshman ask me if I was really their mom.

How do you want to be remembered-  I want to be remembered for my review game because it is a very fun way to get the students more involved.

What will be missed- I will miss the community. I have been to many different schools and compared to the others, teachers and students here are very positive and including.
