Birt to wrestle for Upper Iowa
State Champion to follow in his father’s footsteps
READY TO WRESTLE Tristan Birt finished last wrestling season as a state champion. Earlier this week, he signed a national letter of intent to wrestle for Upper Iowa University, where he hopes to continue his winning ways.
Wrestling State Champion Tristan Birt, ’15, recently committed to wrestling at Upper Iowa University. He is following in his father’s footsteps. “My dad was runner-up and National Champion when he wrestled there. I’m pretty competitive, so I’m hoping to break his records,” Birt commented. “The campus is awesome. I’m just excited for college in general.”
