Every high schooler has that one person that they have a crush on, but sometimes he or she is too nervous to express his or her feelings. With Valentine’s Day just past, some students revealed their secret crushes on their upper and underclassmen colleagues.

Sophia Rupert, ‘19, said that her crush is Patrick Igo, ‘21. “He’s just adorable,” she proclaimed when asked why she had a crush on him.

Max Einersen, ‘20, confessed his secret crush for Kimberly Graff, ‘22. Max said, “She seems like a great person,” as he explained why she is his underclassman.

Eli Shubatt, ‘21, admitted to his crush on Dani Keller, ‘19. “She’s a funny person with a great personality,” said Shubatt.

Lastly, Tessa Berning, ‘22, proclaimed that her crush is Trenton Dodds, ‘19. “He’s my brother’s friend, so I know that he’s a really funny person.”

Two students unknowingly confessed their feelings for each other. The Romeo and Juliets were Gabe Anstoetter, ‘21, and Sydney Timp, ‘19. Gabe chose Sydney as his crush because, “She’s funny and easy to talk to and she also has pretty blue eyes,” he said.

Timp said she has a crush on Gabe because, “He’s hilarious and has great hair.”

Most people are afraid to share their feelings about someone younger or older than them, but there is no reason to be afraid. People are almost always glad to know that others have a crush on them. The pressure is even lower when the person’s crush is either his or her under or upperclassman associate. Overall, love is in the air.
