October 5th: Do Something Nice Day!

 

“It’s the little things that count.” This saying is heard quite frequently. Often, when people think back on acts of kindness they received, they remember the little things. National “Do Something Nice Day,” was October 5th. There are so many little ways of expressing kindness towards others.

Although, it is essential that somewhere in the mix of giving goodness to others, yourself is remembered as well. Each day our bodies work hard, and every once in awhile you deserve to be treated.

Here are a few easy things you can do for others and yourself.

 

For Others:

Compliment someone on their smile

Ask your parents if you can help out with something around the house

Offer a friend a piece of gum without them asking first

Ask someone how their day is going

Hold open the door for a stranger

 

For You:

A deep stretch to loosen and relax your body

Watch an episode of your favorite TV show

Treat yourself to something sweet, like ice cream

Listen to music
