If you’re looking for a brand new smartphone, but you don’t want the iPhone, because of cost, you don’t like the look, or you want a pure Android experience, there are a few phones that will suit you. When looking for a new device, keep in mind that size really does matter.

The first phone that is recommended is the customizable and budget-friendly Moto X from Motorola. Starting at only $100 with a new 2 year contract with major US Carriers, this phone is a crowd pleaser. The Moto X has a curved metal frame and a 5.2 inch Full HD DIsplay with thousands of customization options. Its camera has a 13MP resolution and 4k UHD video capture. The Moto X comes with either 32gb or 64gb of internal memory. It is also water resistant, which is handy for those who tend to drop their phone.

Another recommended phone is the Droid Turbo from Motorola. This phone is available at only $199 for a new 2 year contract only from Verizon. The Turbo has a 5.1 inch Quad HD Display and the state of the art snapdragon 805 processor. It has a 21MP camera and comes in either 32gb or 64gb models. The phone is also water resistant. The main selling point of this phone is its massive battery, which can last up to 48 hours with mixed usage and a turbocharger that can give your phone 8 hours of life in just 15 minutes of charging.

The next phone is a little on a larger scale with a 5.96 inch Quad HD display. It will most likely cost $250 on contract with US carriers. The Nexus 6 was designed by Google and manufactured by Motorola. Like the turbo, it also has the state of the art snapdragon 805. It has a 13MP camera and comes in 32gb or 64gb models. This device is water resistant as well. The Nexus 6 is the best phone in this list because of the impressive specifications that this phone packs. The Google Nexus 6 really packs a punch and the looks of this phone are sure to impress. If you’re looking for a bigger phone, this is an easy choice for you.
