Packing for the Tetons!

The Tetons Science School Trip isn’t the kind of trip a person can wait until the last minute to pack for.
Because the weather plays a large factor in the type of clothing students bring, it takes a serious shopping hunt to be fully prepared. If those going haven’t already checked these places for deals, then get to it!
Ruth Berning, ’15, went to Dick’s Sporting Goods and Theisen’s to find her essentials. “I love my Timberland boots so much that I wear them to school, around my house, to bed, and so basically everywhere. They never leave my feet,” she said with a wink.
Check out TJ Maxx as well for the good deals. Wahlert alumni Katie Ford and Rachel Miller, ’14, both purchased their winter jackets at TJ Maxx.
“I survived because of wool socks, slippers, hand warmer packs, and flip flops (for the showers)! Bring Catch Phrase or card decks for fun,” Miller said. “Ohh, yeah! And a camera! No phones allowed,” she adds.
Make sure to think carefully about what to bring. There is a limit to flying bags. Don’t pack the entire closet. Also rumor has it that the Teton Science School has extra warm clothing to share.
