Last year, the bowling team did not see any players go to the state tournament, but they have high hopes heading into this season.  Many of the players are looking forward to a much improved team with a lot of talent.

“The bowling program this year is going to be very competitive and has improved a lot since last year because of the additions to the team that replaced players who graduated,” said Will Conlon, ‘17.

This year is a sort of rebuilding year for the bowling program but early expectations are strong as most of the team will return for next season as well.  The goal is still to send as many players to the state tournament as possible.

“Obviously, we want to compete to the best of our abilities but the atmosphere around the team is great all of the time,” said Carter Hanson, ‘17.  “It’s always really fun, and we always have great time.”

Home meets are located at Cherry Lanes in the Diamond Jo Casino.  A full schedule and roster for the 2015-2016 season can be found on Holy Family Catholic School’s website.  The season opens away at Waterloo West on Dec. 4 and runs through districts on Feb. 22.
