Tristan Birt, ’15, wrestled through a successful season that led him to win a state championship.

The Wahlert wrestling team certainly made a statement at this year’s state tournament. All three qualifiers, Welsee Haynes, ‘14, Riley Hasken, ‘15, and Tristan Birt, ‘15, medaled at the state meet, and that was a first in school history.

Coach Joel Allan commended the wrestlers, saying, “I am so proud of the boys this year. They competed to the best of their abilities, and their dedication really paid off.”
