It is Promposal season

As prom approaches, more and more girls are getting asked in different and exciting ways. While some promposals are last minute posters, others take lots of time to plan.

Andrew Kintzinger, ‘18, asked Rachel Hefel, ‘17, with lots of creativity. Here is how it went down.

“I got to school on Monday morning, April 24th, and went to my locker with Andrew, as usual. Then, I noticed a small folded piece of paper. It was a handwritten note with a large ‘P’ on it,” described Hefel, ‘17, remembering the special moment.

As the day went on, Hefel received another handwritten letter with a big “R” on it from a close friend in 3rd period. By this time she could tell what was happening.

During lunch, Hefel got an “O” and in 7th period an “M”. At the end of the day, she was talking with Andrew at her locker. “He smirked and gave me a big piece of paper with a question mark on it; it was so sweet,” said Hefel.

Kintzinger, ‘17, explains how he pulled it all off. “It took me two pre-calculus classes and a Saturday night to write the letters.”

Inside the letters he wrote about all their memories and adventures together.

“I wasn’t really nervous to ask her though. She had been bugging me about it for almost two weeks,” he said.

Ivan Gruhl, ‘17, didn’t prepare as much as Andrew when he asked Elyse Kalb, ‘17.

“I didn’t even make the poster. A friend made it for me,” said Gruhl.

The poster said, “Let’s go to prom; it’ll be bomb.” However, Kalb did know the prom-posal was going to happen.

“One of my friends accidentally told me about it one day. It was funny,” said Kalb.

So in all, whether the promposal is simple and plain, or different and original, hopefully, the answer to the question is always yes.
