It is common to see someone with a pet dog or cat, but have you ever heard of a pet chinchilla? The pet of the week is Leo the chinchilla, who belongs to Anexia Lemke, ‘20. The Lemke’s traveled for five hours to Wisconsin and he is currently nine months old. According to Anexia, Leo’s favorite foods in particular are apples and carrots, and he doesn’t like to around anyone. Well, besides Anexia.

“A lot of people think it’s a hamster or a large rat,” Lemke said. Anexia also explained that Leo barks like a dog when he is hungry and squeaks really loud when it is scared.
